My depiction of one of the true low moments of the Lebanese Civil War of 1975-90, the storming by Lebanese Christian Phalangists of the Karantina Palestinian refugee camp just outside of Beirut in 1976. When the Phalangists took the camp after a 3(I think)month-long siege, they proceeded to kill quite a few of the Palestininians still resident there. A few months later, the Palestinians and their Lebanese allies took the town of Damour, a Christian town on the Lebanese coast, and proceeded to do to its luckless inhabitants what the Phalangists had done at Karantina. Such lovely people, with such fine manner. 'Scuse me while I puke, please.
