This pic depicts an interrogation of three female Viet-Minh suspects, or perhaps just ordinary Vietnamese peasant women, by a French Union patrol in North Viet-Nam circa 1952. Within two years, the French would be decisively beaten by the Viet-Minh at Dien Bien Phu, no thanks to the kinds of repression used by the French and their Vietnamese allies during the French Indochina War, which, if anything, only pissed a lotta peasants, who otherwise might have well avoided anything to do with either side, off. Kinda like the various forms of occupation practised by the Americans, Israelis, Russians and others in various parts of the world to-day, no???
