Well, it's been a while since have posted anything here.
Been rather neglectful on that, and a number of other scores, alas.
Lost my Kodak EasyShare camera in mid-December, and wasn't able to replace it until the evening of 2nd January, when I got a Polaroid a520 digital camera, with which I took the pics below this post.
They were taken at a Food Not Bombs Las Vegas feeding and rally at Frank Wright Plaza, a park and homeless hang-out in down-town Vegas, yesterday.
The feeding, which started at a little after 1 PM yesterday afternoon, came first, and was followed by a very short march across the street to Las Vegas City Hall, where the City Council was in session, at around 2:40 PM.
Inside the Council chamber, we waited until the public comment portion of the meeting, then several of us spoke about the homeless crisis here in Vegas, which resounded in half-hearing ears on the Council's part.
The first three pics are from the feeding, and the fella with the video camera on the far left of two of the pics was a news cameraman for a local television station who was picking up footage of the feeding for a local news and opinion tv show, which would air to-day.
The latter three pics are from the parts of the march through Frank Wright Plaza, during which some of us, though not Yours Truly, called out to the homeless people there to join us in speaking before the City Council.
Alas, none did.
Anyhow, hope you enjoy the pics, and be seeing more of you in this new year.
