From the horrific underbelly of Latin American civil war and political repression comes this little Slice O' Heaven called They Would Make The Whole World Disappear If They Could. While the setting for the pic's modern-day Colombia, and the protagonists are right-wing paramilitaries, the overall pattern of "disappearing" people in that part of the world isn't exclusive to present-day Colombia, not by a long shot. Just ask any Chilean, Argentine, Uruguayan, Paraguayan or Brazilian, among others, who lived through the '60's, '70's and '80's in those countries about "disappearances" that happened in their homelands.
