This article link's to an AP article via Yahoo News on a new National Guard recruiting programme that gives Guardsmen a $ 2,000 bonus incentive for each person he or she brings into the Guard, especially if the latter opts to serve in the Regular Army for an alloted time span first.
In the last two weeks, have seen signs on the north-west corner of my neighbourhood from the Nevada Army National Guard offering a similar financial incentive for joining up, and even goes so far as to state that one can serve at home, etc.
Well, don't know about now, but, the last time I saw the sign, it'd been torn down. By whom and for what reasons, I know not.
It, or another like it, is probably back up again.
Will have to check in the next few days and let you know.
The article link's at http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070828/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/army_recruiting.
Check it out, and be seeing you.
